Cumberland River Estates Ltd

Registered 30th April 1896 as a reconstruction of Cumberland Lands Limited which owned over 40,000 acres of land in Stewart and Houston Counties, Tennessee. The land was used for agriculture and forestry and to exploit the iron deposits. Built the 15 mile Tennessee and Cumberland River Railroad which it sold to an American company of that name in 1899. Voluntary liquidation 21st September 1905. Company number 47737.
Capital £175,000 in 150,000 ordinary shares of £1 and 25,000 preference shares of £1.
