Registered 1891. Confectioners, based in Dewsbury, Yorkshire. The company produced lettered rock and was the first to offer the now famous Blackpool rock and following this supplied many seaside resorts with their products. The company also issued trade cards with their sweets which are now avidly collected (see history tab). Dissolved <1948. Company number 35348
Capital £75,000 in 4,000 Ordinary shares of £10 and 35,000 6% Cumulative Preference shares of £1 each. Later increased to £100,000 by converting the ordinary shares to £1 and increasing the number to 65,000.
