Eastern and Midlands Railway Company
Incorporated on 18th August 1882
Formed to dissolve and replace the Lynn and Fakenham, the Yarmouth and North Norfolk Light, and the Yarmouth Union Railways. The Midland and Eastern Railway and the Peterborough, Wisbech and Sutton Railway were also taken over by the Eastern and Midlands company, and it passed to the Midland and Great Northern Joint Committee in 1893.
Authorised Capital £1,270,886 and loans £589,549;
Capital in 1884 (Lynn loop?) £100,000 and loans £30,000; Cromer undertaking capital £240,000; Abandoned sections and extensions in 1888 new capital £62,000 and loans £180,000.
