Russian-French Factories for the Production of Rubber Articles, Gutta-Percha and Telegraphy under the name “Prowodnik”

Formed in 1888 with head office in Riga. Initial capital was in shares of 250 roubles. Capital was increased and converted to 100 rouble shares in 1906. By 1913, capital had reached 36,000,000 roubles in shares of 100 roubles.

The company manufactured rubber goods for many industries especially for cable insulation. Prowodnik tyres for the motor industry became very well known in the early years of the century. Prowodnik Tyre & Rubber Company Limited was formed in England in 1908.
