Formed in 1860 with head office in St. Petersburg. Initial capital was 18,000,000 roubles in shares of 1000 roubles. In 1913, those 1000-rouble shares were exchanged for 10 x 100 rouble shares, creating 180,000 new shares. Later, in 1913, capital was increased to 21,000,000 roubles by the issue of 30,000 shares of 100 roubles. In 1916, capital was was increased to 30,000,000 roubles in shares of 100 roubles.

Description
The company was formed in 1860; its founder was the German Baron Heinrich Ferdinand von Krauskopf (1819-1875). The company made various products from rubber and gutta-percha (a rigid natural latex produced from the sap of the trees palaquium). By 1900, it employed some 6,000 people and realised a turnover of 6,5 million roubles. The company was one of the world’s largest manufacturers of rubber shoes before WWI. Later on, car tires were its best-selling product. Still active today as a repairer of rubber transport belts. (source: Boone April 2022)
