The company was formed in 1901 with head office in St. Petersburg. It was the successor to: Société Russe d’Électricité “L’Union”. By 1906, capital was 6,000,000 roubles in shares of 250 roubles. Capital was increased in 1909 to 7,000,000 roubles; in 1911 to 8,000,000 roubles and then in 1913 to 12,000,000 roubles.
