Description

The company was founded in 1896 in Grozny, by Belgian investors in Russia, namely the Antwerp-based Petroles de Grosnyi (Russie) SA. The company had its own refinery and was the biggest oil producer in the Grozny area around 1909. It had an important sales contract with Standard Russe (held by the Paris Rothschilds).
