Severn Bridge Railway Company
Incorporated on 18th July 1872. A 5 ½ mile line between Lydney and Berkeley, crossing the river and connecting with the South Wales line. It opened in 1879 and amalgamated at that time with the Severn and Wye Railway, forming the Severn and Wye and Severn Bridge Railway. Passed to the Midland and the Great Western companies in 1894.
Original capital £225,000 in £10 shares and £75,000 in loans.
