Llynvi Valley (and South Wales Junction) Railway Company
Incorporated on 7th August 1846.
A 15 mile broad-gauge line, connected in 1855 with the South Wales Railway through absorbing the Bridgend Railway. It also joined with the Duffryn, Llynvi and Porthcawl, and the Ogmore Valley Railways, and formed the Llynvi and Ogmore Railway in 1866 which passed to the Great Western in 1883.
Capital £200,000 in 10,000 shares of £20 each, and £50,000 additional the following year. Loans of £66,000 and £40,000. This total capital amount reduced from £250,000 to £125,000 in shares with loans of £60,000 in 1851.
