Buffalo & State Line Rail Road Company
Incorporated in New York 13th October 1849. Opened in 6 foot (broad) gauge on 1st January 1852 from Dunkirk, NY to Pennsylvania and to Buffalo in the February. Relaid in standard gauge by 1854. Merged with the Erie and North East Railroad in 1867 to form the Buffalo and Erie Railroad Company.
