Incorporated on 6th September 1831
A 6 mile partially atmospheric line, which was built by Charles Vignoles, it opened in 1834 and was leased to the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway in 1856.
Original Capital £200,000 in 2,000 Shares of £100 each. Loans of £152,000. Increased to £350,000 in capital stock, and over £300,000 in debentures by 1910.
