Registered 3rd March 1887 to acquire the Espiritu Santo and the Mina del Rey gold mines at Cana, Darien, Colombia. In voluntary liquidation 1891. Company number 24047. Reconstructed under the same name in 1891. Reconstructed again 19th January 1907 (Company number 91727). Voluntary liquidation 10th March 1913.
Capital £200,000 in shares of £1. The capital of the reconstructed company was £100,000 in 50,000 A shares of £1, 50,000 B shares of £1. The A shares were allotted to shareholders in the original company at the rate of 1 new for 4 old. In 1893 the capital was increased to £125,000 by the creation of 25,000 C shares of £1.
Capital of the 1907 company was £350,000 in 150,000 6% Cumulative preference and 200,000 ordinary shares of £1. Increased in 1909 to £300,000 preference and 300,000 ordinary.
