Waterford and Limerick Railway Company
Incorporated on 21st July 1845. A line between the towns, running 77 miles. It partially opened in 1846, and through its full route by 1854. The line was extended numerous times and eventually connected with the Great Western Railway in Milford Haven via Ferry crossing. It became named the Waterford, Limerick and Western Railway (England), and amalgamated with the Great Southern and Western in 1901.
Original Capital £600,000. Increased to £998,890 in stock and shares, and £246,492 in debenture stock.
