Mews were long standing brewers in Newport, isle of Wight. Given a royal warrant to supply Osborne House when Queen Victoria was in residence and the brewery was renamed Royal Brewery. The company was formed in 1887 when Walter Langton was taken into the firm. Merged with Strongs of Romsey in 1965 which itself was acquired by Whitbread.
