Manhattan Beach Hotel and Land Company Limited
Incorporated 31st October 1890 as successor to the Manhattan Beach Improvement Company which was sold under foreclosure. Owned Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn and both the Manhattan Beach and Oriental Hotels plus a Pavillion, Firework enclosure and music amphitheatre. Receiver appointed for this company in 1906. The Hotel, built by Austin Corbin, was opened by Ulysses Grant in 1877. Torn down and replaced by housing in 1913.
