Incorporated in New Hampshire in 1872 with paper mills in West Henniker, New Hampshire. Henry Emerson, the founder retired in 1917 and the mills were sold to Monadnock Paper Mill. The mills only closed down in the late 1970’s and the buildings were demolished in 1997 after laying idle and falling into disrepair. The town raised the funds to demolish and later used the land.
Capital $60,000 in shares of $100. Increased to $75,000 by 1886.
