Union Maritime, Société V. Marziou et Cie.
Formed in Paris by 1855 headed by Victor Marziou, a wealthy shipowner who had also been a financier of the Oceania Society. The company was granted a postal contract in 1857 but was replaced in 1860 by Compagnie Générale Maritime headed by Émile Pereire.
