Formed in 1871 with head office in Moscow. Initial capital was 2,000,000 roubles in shares of 200 roubles. In 1905, capital was increased to 5,000,000 roubles in shares of 200 roubles and in 1912, increased to 7,500,000 roubles.

Description
Apart from the Russian State Bank, there were no real banks in Russia before 1864 (excluding small local partnerships). That changed first in St. Petersburg and then in Moscow. V.A. Kokorev founded the Moscow Trading Bank in 1866 and in 1870 the Moscow Disconto Bank was set up by a number of German businessmen in Russia. The third bank created in Moscow was the Moscow Commercial Bank. It was created by a number of Russian textile industrialists led by Nikolai A. Naidjonov.
