A 30 mile standard gauge main line, from Blackburn to Clitheroe and the ‘Little North Western’ line. It amalgamated with the Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton Railway in its formative year and formed the Bolton, Blackburn, Clitheroe, and West Yorkshire Railway in 1847.
