Churnet Valley Railway Company
Incorporated on 26th June 1846
One of three separate Acts that formed the North Staffordshire Railway. It ran 65 miles and connected with the Manchester and Birmingham Railway in Macclesfield and the Birmingham and Derby Railway in Burton. The line opened in 1849.
Capital £1,200,000 in Shares of £20 each, £5 paid. Loans of £400,000.
