Corwen and Bala Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1862
A 13 ½ mile line, linking with the Bala and Dolgelly line which was authorised at the same time. With a portion of the capital provided by the Great Western and the Vale of Llangollen railways, the line opened in 1868, and became part of the Great Western network in 1896.
Capital £120,000 in shares of £10 each, loans of £40,000. Increased in 1873 for the Bala and Festiniog Act.
