Companhia Colonial de Navegação
Incorporated in Angola on 3rd July 1922 with offices in Lobito. Created to serve the Portuguese Colonies in Africa. Merged in 1974 with the Empresa Insulana de Navegação (EIN) to form the Companhia Portuguesa de Transportes Marítimos (CPTM) which was then nationalised.
Capital 4,500,000 escudos in shares of 100 escudos. Increased in 1924 to 9,000,000 escudos and in 1926 to 15,000,000 escudos. Later increased to 150,000,000 escudos. Interestingly the same printed certificates were used for all issues to 1926 with just an overprint in the centre.
