Oriental Hotels Company Limited

Registered 1863 to build Hotels in India, China and elsewhere in the East. Built an hotel in Cairo in 1869. Built the Oriental Hotel at Point-de Galle, Ceylon. Wound up February 1870, the Cairo Hotel being sold to the Khedive of Egypt and the Ceylon Hotel offered for sale by the liquidator in the following year. Dissolved <1916. Company number 555C. The 6% Debentures were paid in full and the 12% Debentures were paid at 16s in the pound.
