
Egyptian Mail Steamship Company Ltd
Registered 25th May 1906 and ordered two passenger ships named ‘Cairo’ and Heliopolis’ to operate them between Marseille and Alexandria. The board of directors included Lord Armstrong and Edouard Empain. The route was very competitive and the company was put into voluntary liquidation 7th July 1908 and the two ships put up for sale. Both acquired by Canadian Northern Steamships in 1910. Company number 88920.
Capital £660,000 in 60,000 ordinary shares of £10 and 60,000 deferred shares of £1.
