Previously a skating rink, part was sold and became the Palace Theatre, then the Casino de Paris. The rest of the Rink was demolished and the Nouveau Theatre was built. Purchased in 1907 by Gabrielle Rejane who renovated it and renamed it Theatre Rejane. Subsequently sold to Leon Volterra in 1918 where he created Theatre de Paris.
