Bengal Provincial Railway Company Limited

Incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1882 to build a 2’6″ narrow gauge railway from Tarakeswar, on the East Indian Railway to Magra in West Bengal. Closed around 1956.
Capital 8,00,000 rupees in shares of 10 rupees. Increased to 8,50,000 rupees in 1895 by additional 5000 shares of 10 rupees. Later increased to 11,00,000 rupees in shares of 10 rupees plus 3,000 special shares of 100 rupees for the Dasghara-Jamalpurgunj Extension.
