Beyrouth Bagdad Téhéran Automobile (Eastern Transport Co.)
Following the success of the Nairn Transport Company of a route by automobile from Beirut to Baghdad, the Syrian Kettaneh Brothers set up another company to provide more comfortable stops. The 950 km trip took 2½ days and cost each passenger £25. The cars used were American Dodge. This company, a Lebanese-Syrian corporation was formd in 1924 to acquire the previous company and to extend the route to Tehran and to carry both passengers and goods.
