A 35 mile line linking the towns and completing the route from Dublin to Derry. It opened in November 1855, and was purchased by the Belfast and Northern Counties Railway in 1860-61. Became part of the Midland Railway of England in 1903.
Capital circa £230,000 based on cost. Increased by £15,000 in shares in 1859.
