Banbridge Junction Railway Company
Incorporated in June 1856.
A 6¾ mile line initially incorporated in 1853 to connect this town with the existing Dublin and Belfast Junction Railway. The name was changed from the Banbridge, Newry, Dublin and Belfast Junction Railway in 1856, and the line opened in April 1859, worked and leased by the Dublin and Belfast company. Vested in the Great Northern of Ireland Railway in June 1877.
