Belfast and Northern Counties Railway Company
Incorporated on 15th May 1860.
Originally incorporated as the Belfast and Ballymena Railway of 1845, a 33 mile line between the towns with branches to Carrickfergus and Randalstown. It was later extended to Cookstown. In 1903 it formed the Northern Counties Committee of the Midland Railway of England.
Total capital authorised £1,744,000 in stock and shares, and £600,122 in loans, between 1845 and 1884.
