Glenariff Railway and Pier Company
Incorporated on 7th September 1880. A narrow gauge (3ft) railway line to transport iron ore from the mines in Glenariff to ‘Red Bay Pier’, where it would be sent to Scotland and England. It was completed in 1873, but short lived, closing in 1875.
