Kilkenny Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 23rd July 1860. This line replaced the original proposal for the Kilkenny and Great Southern and Western Railway which failed. The line ran from the Waterford and Kilkenny Railway to Mountrath. It opened in 1867 and amalgamated with the Waterford and Central Ireland Railway in 1896.
Capital £140,000 in £10 shares, loans of £46,000. Preference shares, and debenture stock issued in the early 1870’s.
