Kilrush and Kilkee Railway Company
Incorporated in 1860. A line to run between the towns, which was never actually built due to engineering complications caused by an embankment on the estuary of Poulnasherry on the planned route of the Railway. It was finally replaced in 1892 by the South Clare Railway.
