Ulster Railway Company
Incorporated on 19th May 1836. Originally the Belfast and Cave Hill Railway, but re-named the Ulster Railway in 1836, the 25 mile line built to a 6ft 2in gauge, was amended to 5ft 3in standard gauge. It eventually ran from Belfast to Armagh over 36 miles, and amalgamated with the Great North of Ireland Railway.
Capital £600,000 Shares of £50 each. Loans of £200,000. New shares of £25 issued in 1855.
