Societatea Intreprinderilor ‘Emil Costinescu’
Formed in 1913 by Emil Costinescu, a member of the Chamer of Deputies, co-founder of the National Bank and founding President of the General Bank of Bucharest. The company owned large sawmills at Sinaia and also manufactured screws and wire. Like many factories it was given over to arms production during the war. Presumably nationalised after 1948.
Capital 3,000,000 lei. Increased to 12,000,000 lei in 1920 and to 18,000,000 lei in 1923. By 1940 increased to 75,000,000 lei.
