Description
As a result of World War I, the German investors were forced out of J. W. Junker et Cie and replaced by the Rubinstein bankers and the industrialist Nikolai Vtorov, to create the successor bank: Banque Industrielle de Moscou. Vtorov bought several German-owned companies during the war and made a fortune from them. He was killed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. (source: Boone auction October 2021)
