Description

Zemsky Bank of the Kherson province was established in May 1864 and was located in Odessa. The purpose of establishing the bank was long-term lending to landowners in the region. Fixed capital in the amount of 100 thousand rubles was formed at the expense of a loan received from the Russian government. According to the charter, the operation of the created credit institution extended to the Kherson, Yekaterinoslav, Taurida and Bessarabia provinces. (Source: Wikipedia)
