The company was the Russian subsidiary of the Swedish telephone company Eriksson (founded in 1876), a multinational telecommunication firm. This Russian company was formed in 1897 by Lars Magnus Ericsson and became a limited company in 1905.
Initial capital was 500,000 roubles in shares of 250 roubles. Capital was increased to 1,000,000 roubles with a share issue in 1905.
