Description

The company was founded in 1873 as a sawmill to support the construction of the Orel-Riga railroad. Later, it began iron production to make railway track and wagons. Today, as “BMZ”, it is the biggest Russian manufacturer of diesel locomotives and engines for ships and the agrarian industry.
