Created in Madrid 28th January 1847. Removed to Barcelona in 1851. This was the first joint stock cotton company formed in 1847 and at ts height in the 1880’s had a workforce of some 2500 men, women and children. Finally closed in 1981.
Capital 32,000,000 reales vellon in shares of 2000 reales vellon. Restructured on 26th June 1931 as 10,000,000 pesetas in shares of 500 pesetas.
