Channel Islands Telegraph Company Ltd
Registered 1858. Formed in 1857 as a subsidairy of the Electric Telegraph Company to connect Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney to the mainland. Maintenance was a continual problem so parts were abandoned in 1860. The whole inland telegraph industry was nationalised by the British Government in 1868. Company number 1198
