Guernsey Railway Company Ltd.
Incorporated on 22nd September 1889.
Originally the Guernsey Steam Tramway, opened in 1878 as a 3 mile line between two ports on the Isle. The lines were electrified in 1892 after the company was re-organised and the Guernsey Railway Co. Ltd. took over operation of the line. Trams ceased operation in the 1930’s, but the company continued service as a bus operator until 1980.
