Axholme Joint Railway Company
Incorporated on 31st July 1902.
Formed to acquire the Goole and Marshland Light Railway of 1898 and the Isle of Axholme Light Railway of 1899. Owned jointly between the North Eastern Railway and the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, and extended in the early 1900’s to connect with the Dearne Valley Railway.
