Bideford Extension Railway Company

A broad gauge line running 6 miles from the North Devon Railway to Bideford. Opened in 1855 and was leased by its builder Mr Brassey for eight years, who paid £2,250 per annum. It was absorbed by the London and South Western Railway in 1864.
