Callington and Calstock Railway Company
Incorporated on 9th August 1869
A narrow gauge linebetween the towns, first laid by the Tamar, Kit Hill and Callington Railway Company and intended for freight traffic only. It was re-laid under the above Act and re-named the East Cornwall Mineral Railway in 1871, opening the following year. The Plymouth, Devonport and South Western Junction Railway took over in 1891 and the lines were altered to standard gauge to allow passenger traffic, then operating as the Bere Alston & Calstock Light Railway.
Capital £60,000 in £10 ordinary shares and 6% preference shares. Loans of £20,000.
