Incorporated on 5th August 1891.
A deep-level underground line, opened in 1900, the work having been funded by a syndicate of financiers (Shares issued in 1895). The line ran from Shepherd’s Bush to ‘Bank’, later extended to Ealing Broadway and Liverpool St. It passed to the London Passenger Transport Board in 1933, and forms part of the Central Line of the London Underground today.
Capital in shares £2,850,000 in £10 shares, and loans of £950,000.
