Cheshire Midland Railway Company
Incorporated on 14th June 1860
A 12 mile line linking with the Manchester, South Junction and Altrincham Railway. It was subscribed to to by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway by £30,000, and run by the Great Western and the London and North Western Railways. In 1863 the Great Northern Railway subscribed £65,000 to the company, which passed to the Cheshire Lines Committee in 1865.
Capital £100,000 in shares of £20 each, loans of 33,000.
