Chester and Birkenhead Railway Company
Incorporated on 12th July 1837
A direct line to Birkenhead, also connecting with the Chester and Crewe Railway (being built at the same time). The line was amalgamated with the Birkenhead Junction and Chester Junction Railways in 1851 to form the Birkenhead Railway.
Capital £1,050,000 divided into; 5,000 Whole Shares of £50 each; 5,000 Half Shares of £25 each; 7,500 New Shares of £50 each, and 15,000 New Shares of £20 each. Loans of £100,000.
