East and West India Docks and Birmingham Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 26th August 1846
Promoted by the London and Birmingham (LNW) Railway, which line it would also connect with in Camden Town. Running to Blackwall and the Docks initially, various amendments and extensions were made to the line before its name was changed to the North London Railway in 1853. The line passed to the London Midland and Scottish group in 1921.
Original capital £600,000 in 12,000 Shares of £50 each. Loans of £200,000. Increased by the issue of new shares to a total of £900,000 and total loans of £299,999 in 1853.
