
Grand Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 6th May 1833. A line running over 82 miles between Birmingham and Warrington, opened in 1837. The company absorbed the Warrington and Newton, the Bolton and Leigh, the Kenyon and Leigh and the Liverpool and Manchester Railways. It then amalgamated with the Manchester and Birmingham, and the London and Birmingham Railways to form the London and North Western Railway in 1846.
Capital £1,103,325 in 12,090 Shares of £40 each, and 24,789 New Quarter Shares of £25 each. Loans of £346,000.
